2020 Year In Review!!

Welcome one and all to yet another edition of the hilarious writing style of me, myself and I. I know you have spent all of 2020 waiting in anticipation to read this epic yearly bio and hoping that you made one of the 50 tags available in this review. If not, there is always next year. For those who are new to this . . come with me . . . and you’ll read . . . about a man who’s pure imagination . . . . I’m very much hoping that you sung that in the Gene Wilder classic tune. Onward to the adventures!!!

(UPDATE- I didn't want to delete the above as I wrote it a year ago, HOWEVER since then things have changed, obviously, but also in regards to this "Note."  In October Facebook decided to eliminate the "Note" feature, thankfully I was able to copy and paste what I had already written thus far.  Which brings you here to my NEW Year in Review Blog!  anyways on to 2020!)

January- Well 2020 has begun as Elizabeth and I toast in the new year with some bubbly. New Years Day arrives as Elizabeth and I settle in to watch the Badgers in the Rose Bowl! Unfortunately this new year is not coming up roses as the Wisconsin Badgers lose in the Rose Bowl. . . again . . to the Oregon Ducks . . . again . . . just like we did in 2012 . . sigh. Such a gut wrenching beginning to the new year when you were up by 6 in the 4th quarter and inevitably lose by 1 point :/ I stepped on the scale only to my overwhelming surprise that I seemed to have let the Ireland and Holiday fun get the better of me as I have some work to do, and some weight to lose. Back to clean eating and running and working out I go! Also back to the brewery I go as I work the canning line like a boss! Then a gathering for some stunt training/short video concepts with Mello and the gang at Argus. I get a call for my first stunt gig of the new year and its back on The Blacklist. Doubling for a bald actor so I get to rock my first bald cap. The gag was hopping in a brand new red Mercedes AMG-GTR and peeling off like the wind. Cort Hessler and I went to go get a feel for the vehicle and thanks to all the modern computers it made the gag incredibly difficult. Once the car lost traction the computer takes over and basically removes all control from the driver. Due to this, and the time allotted, we decided it was best if Cort took control of the $160K+ car as it was in a tight space inside a warehouse. Next up more training at Argus with Ben and the gang working on more concepts, this time a werewolf concept that Alexa had. So much fun!!! Well this year is not fun thus far for my sports teams as The Green Bay Packers lose 1 game away from the Superbowl! Still an improvement over last year, but 1 game away really stings, especially with an aging Aaron Rodgers. More training and concepts at Argus and then a random email from an indie film makers looking to cast a lizard creature for his upcoming indie horror feature. I audition for him and inevitably I do not get the job. It was going to be Ultra Low Budget, which is significantly less than my usual contract so I wasn't too busted up about it, BUT it would have been cool to have a full monster suit casted for me like the days before CGI. The last day of January I get booked to work as a Stunt Rigger on SNL with guest host JJ WATT!! This is like a dream come true for me as a Lifetime Badger football Fan and one of the biggest names to come out of Wisconsin hosting one of the most famous shows of all time!!! Unfortunately I didn't cross paths with JJ at all as he was wrapped very very early, basically he shot all of his dialogue and then was done. Oh well, back to work! We set up a wire gag that would throw Bobby Beckles into some lockers after being shoved by “JJ” (his double) I rode the line and tested it out to make sure we were good. Then we shot and slammed Bobby into the lockers twice, it was gnarly!! After that we had to break everything down and go home, overall a great day of work on my first rigging contract.
February- Begins hanging with Lauren and Elizabeth as we play some dominoes, eat at Kettle Black and drink some old fashions (which I expertly crafted) on the night before the Superbowl party. This year I kept the party very very small and had my core group of friends over for the game, LaurenAaron and Alex (who are newly engaged YAY!!), Jake and Alex, Alexa and Christine and Jenna and Dan! A wonderful time was had by all! We decided to do round 2 of the Hot Wing Challenge as Aaron brought all the hot sauces. This time around though we coated each wing in the sauce instead of just a dab of each, which made it so much more intense than before. 3 of us Made it through number 8 before we were all so physically full we just couldn't continue for the final 2. womp womp. While our mouths were burning we randomly decided to get tickets to the first game of the new XFL and go see our home team the New York Guardians! I join Elizabeth for the opening of her show “Juliet and Her Romeo” which she directed and it had the one and only Lauren in the cast. Overall it was a good show, I didn’t buy the actress who played Juliet, but she wrote the show so . . . haha. I get called for work again by Tom Place to double the same actor as before on the TV Show Search Party. Oh and by the way if you are reading this here is some top secret info, I am actually doubling the actress Alia Shawkat, who in the show has a shaved head. Now its a big no no to do this, HOWEVER all efforts were made to get production to hire a female and accommodate them for shaving their head as they refused to wig, BUT production wouldn’t have it, hence why I was hired and have a shaved head. Anyways this led to me being able to say one of the weirdest sentences in my entire life and here it is. I have been kicked down a flight of stairs by Susan Sarandon while wearing heels!! Yup!! I got to take a kick from Susan and throw myself backward down a flight of stairs while wearing heels. The gag went great and I only had to do one take as I hear it looked brutal, BUT the production didn't have playback so I will have to wait until the show airs to see how it looks. Next up its game time as Jake, Alex, Aaron and I went to the first XFL game of The New York Guardians and had an absolute BLAST! The game was so much fun and tickets were only $30. We sat 22 rows up in one of the end-zones and just had a great time. Not only that but The Guardians were not favored to win and we wound up winning 23-3! GUARDIANS UNDEFEATED!!! haha. I even ran into Shippey in the bathroom randomly haha!!  We will be back I have no doubt! Unfortunately my relationship with Elizabeth, however complicated it was/has been came to an end. It just wasn't the right fit and I wish her nothing but the best. Aaron joins me in my hood for some conversation and some hot dogs to chat about things in my personal life. I head over to Liz’s to celebrate her birthday and then head to Lauren’s afterward for some bestie hanging, drinking, boxing watching, XFL watching, puzzle doing fun. Next I get tickets for the Guardians home game on the final day of the month/leap year! Lauren and I join Jake and Alex as we head to Metlife Stadium for the game. We had a hell of a time getting the grill started for our little tailgate before the game as the wind was relentless. We had bought $30 tickets to the game, but because these games are far from sold out and its a new league, we decided to upgrade our seats and sit in the 3rd Row on the 50 Yard Line for the game, seats that were going for $180 a piece. Nobody bothered us or even checked the mock tickets I made just in case. Victory is MINE and the Guardians as they won 17-14, at least they are undefeated at home haha. I even caught a t-shirt from one of the players after the game, which I gave to Lauren. Haha what a great day!
March- Holy shit its March already? I head to Brooklyn Bowl to celebrate Paige’s Birthday and bowl a couple games. I wound up winning both games even though my play was pretty inconsistent. A win is a win right? Alexa, ChristineMecca and Shannon were all there for the bowling shenanigans. I hang out with Paul and throw some axes with him at his new digs at a place called Mad Axe! I remember when I used to be able to beat that guy, now I don't stand much chance haha. The new place is cool :) Keeping our Weekend hangouts alive and well Lauren comes to my place in Brooklyn and we start getting her up to speed on classic movies she has yet to see. Todays choice was Major League as the baseball season is quickly approaching. Later that day we meet up with Jake and Alex for some bowling of our own at Melody Lanes in Brooklyn. We bowled for quite a while while drinking as ya do haha. Jake and I decided to pull the trigger and become season ticket holders for the XFL New York Guardians!! Shortly there after . . . 3 days later the XFL season was officially cancelled due to the Corona Virus pandemic. Well DAMN. Well at least we got a refund, but still :( Not only that but all sports were suspended, uh ok, uhm now what do I do with my life? The day before St Paddies Day, the announcement was made to close all bars and restaurants in NYC and only allow take out and delivery . . . ok well that puts a damper on Lauren and I’s yearly bar hopping shenanigans. St Paddies Day arrives and Lauren is feeling very under the weather, uh-oh, I reach out to Jake who was planning on joining us anyways and he comes and hangs out at my Apartment for some St Paddies Drinking!! I mean have to make the best of it right?? Thankfully I continue to work at the brewery as all non essential businesses have been shut down, which includes all film/TV productions. The brewery falls into the category of food/beverage so at least I have that. Wow things have gotten crazy as people are being asked to shelter at home, meaning stay in your homes and don't go outside, stay 6ft away from people, etc. etc. Lauren has her Birthday party and is feeling better but not fully recovered from her illness, but I will not be deterred to celebrate my best friends birthday under these unusual circumstances. I pick up a cake (that she ordered) from a local bakery and drive to her place. We spent the day chilling on the couch, watching movies, drinking, and puzzling. The last week of this month I get word from the brewery that we have basically canned all of the tanks of beer, and there is nothing left to be canned, so I join the rest of the world and go into quarantine. Mecca arranges a virtual brunch with a bunch of awesome humans as we all drink together over a Zoom video conference. Also getting the bad news that they have to push back their wedding :( That’s such a bummer but not really any other choice. At least I can still go out and run, which I do and actually surpass 100 miles in a month for the first time since May of 2016. I actually set the goal before everything went tits up, and I was not going to be denied. It is getting rather infuriating though as I try to abide by the rules of 6ft away on my solo runs, but there are so many people out walking around in groups/family's on my running routes that I have to resort to running in the grass.
April- Hmm well as this new month begins, we are still in quarantine and the new update basically is that this is the way it will be until April 30th . . . for now . . . and no its not an April Fools joke. I celebrate my Birthday in the only way I can, I actually drive to Queens and pick up Lauren, then drive back to my place to hang out at my place, drink, watch movies, eat food, etc. It was the very best of a terrible situation and I enjoyed spending the day with my best buddy. Nothing much to report as the quarantine life is becoming extremely repetitive. Thankfully doing some Zoom workouts with my amazing buddy Hannah from time to time. I get a last minute call into the brewery to help can for a day so hopefully some more shifts become available but they are giving first priority to their full time employees, which is totally understandable. I filed for unemployment though so there’s that. Easter is here and we are still locked down, I drive out and get Lauren, again, I know I know this is getting very repetitive but hey holiday tradition in “some” form is better than nothing. I pick her up on Saturday, we check a few more movies off of her list and we make Easter dinner, ham, mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli and then prep my moms infamous sticky buns to be baked in the morning, as per Easter Morning tradition. Easter morning full of sticky buns and coffee with Lauren, before driving her back to her place later in the day. I get another shift at the brewery to go in and help out, I mean 1 day a week is better than none. My running has deteriorated quite a bit as I battle with the moral conundrum of staying in and quarantining as per the recommendations, or going out and exercising despite all the people out walking around. It really sucks. As I type this its the 20th of the month and I have only run a dismal 17 miles thus far so . . . yeah. I did get some masks sent to me by my dad and stepmom seeing as how now you are expected to wear them when going to the store and what not. Woof April is almost over and still doesn't seem to be an end in sight for the lock down. I have been running a bit more now as I have a mask, but it has been an adjustment in terms of breathing haha. I bump up the running the last few days of the month and I do actually cross 50 miles for the month, so yay, go me! Hahha
May- Another month begins in quarantine life! Really sucks that today I should have been boarding a plane on my way to Mexico to celebrate the marriage of Mecca and Shannon, but because of the world, that has been postponed for a year. It wasn't all lost though as they hosted a Zoom party for like 6 hours to say hi/hang out from their sanctuary in the NC Mountains. I was able to hang with them for the duration and it was fun to see everybody pop in and our and just kinda hang, virtually. My mom, Judy, celebrates her Birthday and TiaNick, and I do a video call to hang out with her virtually for her Birthday. Next up is another Holiday in Cinco De Mayo, which means, time to drive to Astoria to pick up Lauren for an overnighter! We ordered ALL of the Mexican food and I made some margaritas to celebrate the occasion. We also watched Nacho Libre and American Pie (neither of which Lauren had seen previously) A fun hang indoors, of eating, drinking and movie watching is pretty much all there is to look forward to these days, as there is still no sports, no bars, no restaurants, no any kind of social activity :/ At least I still get to work at the brewery and get some social interactions while actually working and having a purpose. I really am glad to be working for such a great company! Thankfully Paul has solo access to Mad Axe and I spend my Mothers Day throwing knives and axes with him for the day. Aaron, Alex, Hannah and I have a Zoom call movie watch as we all were muted on Zoom for the duration of watching “Life of Pi” In a way it was sort of like going to the movies as we could see each other but couldn't talk, but we did text throughout the movie so there is that. Overall it was fun but I do miss a real movie theater. Another virtual movie night with Aaron, watching Jury Duty haha. Well its the 15th and the stay at home order has been extended another month to June 15th, blerg :/ Aaron has a house warming get together at his and Alex’s new home in Jersey City, which they bought, hooray for home owning! Hannah, Alexa, Christine, and Emily join in on the fun as we socialized, HUGGED, ate a wonderful meal prepared by Alex, and played some fun party games. We also drank but I mean what else is there to do in a pandemic! Back to working at Five Boroughs and this week is becoming more involved as I have 4 shifts for the week. It was a rough week though as we had some complications, the fire department shut off our water without telling us and then the canning machine started having major issues so yeah rough week. I learned the hard way though that since I worked for 4 days in the week I forfeit my unemployment, the whole thing, no tiny amount and no $600, uh oh, wish I would have known that before agreeing to work another 4 day work week. Haha oh well, no huge deal, just now I know. Unfortunately the Holiday Hangout Streak comes to an end as Lauren and I do not hang out for Memorial Weekend, it was bound to happen sooner or later. She has to donate her plasma a couple days after so she wouldn't have been able to drink anyways, oh well, more for me haha. Another 4 day work week at the brewery is in the books and we we able to get all fixed and caught up from the horrors of last week. We even canned a special beer called “Thank You” in which all proceeds go to the NYC Covid Relief fund, have I mentioned how proud I am to be a part of this company? Well I guess all hell is breaking lose as this year continues to spiral downward with yet another murder of am unarmed black man at the hands of the police. I just cant with this year anymore. Obviously the country has reached the breaking point in terms of dealing with a virus, being stuck at home for 2 months now, losing jobs, and now this. The month ends as protests around the country both peaceful and not so peaceful erupt, just all around sadness, but these are the times, I just hope things can change for the better this time around.
June- Quarantine reaches the beginning of the 3rd month. Still on lockdown here in Brooklyn, however now due to the riots and looting we start this month by being issued a curfew for the first time in NYC since WWII. Seriously! I learn that the windows of Best Buy Chelsea, a store that I helped build and Open and the very first Best Buy in Manhattan were shattered and the store was looted. I know its just stuff, and these places are insured, kind of sucks though as I spent around 8 years working in that store, and another 2 years maintaining it. I’m just glad nobody was hurt or worse. Next up some social distance gathering at the golf course in White Plains!! JakeDrewMichael and I meet up for 18 holes of Golf!! For the record I am TERRIBLE at golf, I have only been a handful of times and have never taken any lessons. I did Top Golf A LOT last year, which did help a bit, but I still can not drive off the tee to save my life. I ALWAYS slice it hard right! While yes I have improved slightly, I shot a 171, par was 71, so I was a +100 haha. Next up more gatherings as Aaron, Alex, Alexa, Christine, Hannah and I all meet up at Silver Mine Lake in Harriman Park NY for an over night camping trip. We gather our belongings and began our hike into the wilderness to find Jenna and Dan, who had already begun the day before! It was amazing to not only spend time with my most favorite people, but to be off the grid. No service at all, which meant no phones or contact from the outside world. We chatted and cooked over a campfire and ate s’mores, listened to the sweet songs of bullfrogs in the middle of the night. Just so much fun. We had a morning campfire as well, filtered our water from a nearby stream for coffee and packed up and headed home. Now I want to get all my own camping gear so I don't have to borrow, thanks Ben :) Shortly there after Aaron hosts a game night at his new house. Such a fun and wonderful night filled with games and endless laughter with Alex, Alexa, Christine, Jenna, Hannah, Mecca, ShannonJim and Jason. Unfortunately I get some devastating news this month. My good friend and amazing human Jess Chidester, whom I have shared many adventures with as can be seen in past incarnations of these notes, passes from her battle with cancer. I’m typing this now only a day and a half after hearing the gut wrenching and heart breaking news. As I am sitting here with my memories of her and our fun together over the past 4 years I cant and never will be able to make sense of why the most genuine people seem to get this horrible terrible disease. Jess was my very very good friend as I could always depend on her. We went to many movies together, went to a Broadway show, dined, drank, partied, chatted, danced, marched, and just shared in so much fun and life together. I will always love her and will never EVER forget the amazing person she was and how much she means to me. Jess loved these notes/year reviews and I will miss her comments when this one finally gets posted. I love you Jess!! ALWAYS! Aaron stops by to hang with me and watch some movies together. Lauren also hangs out with me for a long weekend staying 2 nights with me. The amazing friends I have who love me really is beneficial in a time like this. Still having a hard time with everything so I figured now was a good time to pack up the car and head out on a long road trip adventure, so that's exactly what I did. I left early morning and drove from NY back home to WI, it took me just over 13 hours, I only stopped to use the restroom and for gas. It was good to be home and with my family for the remainder of the month.
July- Begins with my parents in Wisconsin. My Uncle stops by and hangs with me for a couple of days, sharing his stories of Vietnam and his life in general. He is getting up there in age and isn't in the best of health these days so its been extremely important for him to spend time with loved ones and family. It was nice to sit with him for a few days and just listen. 4th of July there wasn't much to celebrate as the country is in chaos still but my parents and I spent time at Duesterbecks, a brewery in Elkhorn WI. Its literally in the middle of nowhere, on farm land, with a big red barn and they have some tasty brews. After time with family, it was time to begin my journey back home to NYC. I hopped in the car and started my journey. Seeing as how I drove right through South Bend on the way I figured I would stop at the Notre Dame Campus and just have a look around. Being a College Football nut, I understand the importance and history of this campus, so it was cool to wander. It was EXTREMELY hot though on this particular day, but I made sure to get a picture in front of “Touchdown Jesus” and send it to 2 good stunt buddies of mine who are both Notre Dame Football Alumni, Stephen Pope and Jeremy Sample!! Within seconds of me sending the picture to Pope, my phone rings, and he asks if I am at Notre Dame . . . . because HE IS ALSO AT NOTRE DAME!! WHAT!?!? Ok the odds of this are absolutely INSANE! He had just gotten to Notre Dame the night before with his kids as he was taking a cross country drive himself, and was just waking up at his hotel on campus. He walked over to the football stadium and met up with me and we shared a shocked and amazed chat in front of the stadium. I really wish we had taken a picture but I honestly didn't think about it, I don't take many pictures with people and I need to work on that to be honest! It was so awesome to be with him on that campus and I hope someday we can go back and catch a game, hopefully when they play the Badgers!! Back in the car to continue my long journey back. After about 11 hours or so on the road, and with about 5 hours left to go, I decided that was enough, as I didn't have the energy for another 5 hours, nor did I really want to drive the winding 2 lane highways in the dark through the mountains. I pulled off in Central PA and got a hotel for the night. The next morning I finished my drive and got back home and went right back to work at the brewery the next day. Back in NY and dealing with Roommate drama, as Nicole decided to buy the worlds most power sucking portable air conditioner for her room, the smallest room in the apartment mind you. I live in a prewar apartment that has had power issues, but I have learned how to manage it over the years, BUT this place can not handle THAT! After calls to the landlord and even meeting with an electrician, we did the best we could with upgrading the power but without a full renovation, it is what it is. SO I had a chat with Nicole and basically told her she needed to downgrade, but of course, she NEEDS MY HELP to do so, I have had it with this “adult.” She can figure out how to do a return/exchange on her own dime, seeing as how this is her blunder and needs me to use my car to help fix the situation . . . . . Yeah . . . . I know, absolutely ridiculous! Out of sheer anger and not wanting her disgusting ass in my car, the next day I told her to pack up her AC and I would do the return exchange myself, without her. It was the lesser of 2 evils as I want as little interaction with her as possible. I am cursed when it comes to roommates. So problem solved! Next up I head out to Aaron’s place again for a movie night with Hannah, Alexa, Christine and Alex. We watched movies and ate, as per usual, haha. Aaron showed off his home improvements too as he was super proud of them, as he should be. The end of the month I get on a plane and fly back to WI as my sister Tia had planned a trip home with her BF (Albert), whom I have yet to meet so I figured, since there is still no film industry I would go back to WI for an extended weekend. The airport was pretty surreal as LaGuardia opened up another new section, which is amazing, but the lack of humans was pretty eerie. Upon landing in Chicago, Tia, Albert and my Mom pick me up and we drive to Topgolf and meet up with Carl for some Topgolf Fun!! After that it was home to WI and Albert cooked dinner for us all, he is a chef by trade and a pretty cool dude. The weekend was full of Albert's cooking and going to different breweries and was a good time. I even went back to Duesterbecks and met their brewer and took a look at their operation.

August- Still in Wisconsin for the weekend with family. I met up with
Carl and Aaron at Oak Ridge golf course in Milton and we play 9 holes. I do significantly better than I did earlier this year as I shot a 63 which was 28 over par, so hey, improvement is improvement haha. Well after saying bye to Tia and Albert and having breakfast with my Dad, it was back to the airport to go back to NYC. Discovered that Midway in Chicago is quite the experience to find how to get to the terminal for a drop-off . . . Right Mom??? hahaha Back in NYC and it's right back to work at the brewery. I get a call from Mecca for some last minute 18 holes of Golf in Staten Island, throw my sticks in the car immediately after work and head out. Jake, MeccaShippey and I played through 16 holes as the darkness consumed our ability to see. I did ok, about the same as the week before haha. Another EPIC movie night at Aaron's in NJ, with the usual crowd, drinking until we were all on the kitchen floor having conversations as you do haha. Lots of Topgolf this month after that, a session with Aaron, Hannah, and Jake, then another one with Jake and Jamie :) Next up a training session with Roberto Lopez and the gang at Argus. Felt so good to get in the space again and get attached to a wire and yanked around. Such a fun day with ChelsyChelseaLenny, Mecca, Elvis, DKimmy, and Koji.

Sept-  Topgolf once again with Jake and Drew!!  Aaron and Lauren come meet up with me at the brewery after my shift and we have some beers together, outside seating.  Then we head to my hood and have some more beers and hot dogs at Lock Yard, also outdoor seating.  So much fun hanging, drinking and chatting.  I take a full time position at Five Boroughs Brewery as until Stunt work comes back it keeps me occupied and keeps money coming in.  The brewery hires 3 outside full timers (Justin, Jeremy, and Trevor) that I train and get up to speed.  Having flashbacks to my days as a supervisor with Best Buy but not getting paid even close to what I was making them.  Is what it is I guess as this is only temporary.  Also very thankful to be able to be working at all this year.  Chelsea comes over to chill and convinces me to watch the first presidential debate.  I am not political at all, BUT what the hell was that??  Like watching 2 spoiled kids argue over who gets the last piece of dessert.
Oct-  This month I head to a little get together/small brew thing that Justin and Dan put on.  They had 3 of their homebrew drafts on tap and a few bottles of stuff.  It was a good time on a rooftop with them and Jenna, Aaron, Alex and Jeremy! I officially celebrated my 20 year New York Anniversary!  Not that I did anything to celebrate but still pretty cool.  I wish there was more to report however all of my time is being spent working at the brewery Mon-Fri, then on weekends I watch football and hang out with Paige.  I do start to run to and from the brewery as once I get home I usually have no desire to workout after being on my feet and working 8-10 hour days.  This way it kind of forces me to get it done, and it's only 3 miles there and 3 miles back.  I spend Halloween with Paige as we hang out in our sad excuse for costumes, me in a raccoon onesie, Paige in skeleton sweats.  We chat and eat, I drank a bit, and that's all you really need right??  Spooky!
Nov- This month starts with a HUGE sigh of relief as I am FINALLY back on set of The Blacklist for a day of work with Cort, Ashley, Jodi, Pete, Haaron and Mark.  Just being on set again quickly reminded me of why I love my career.  It was a pretty easy day, and felt almost normal, aside from the mask wearing and having lunch delivered to my trailer.  Usually lunch is held in a big room with a buffet style set up, waiting in line, etc. etc. so I kind of enjoyed having my lunch delivered and hanging with the stunt team at the trailers.  When it rains it pours as I head down to Philadelphia for another stunt gig on Mare of Easttown.  I drive myself down and have to go to the stages to get a double COVID test, followed by a costume fitting and then off to my hotel room.  One day of rehearsal with the amazing Nikki Brower, followed by the shoot day.  We were doubles but our actors killed it and didn't really need us.  Was a blast working with Justin though.  Back in NY and back to the brewery.  I go hang with Paige again having the most fun, only to then get the devastating news that stunt legend Jery Hewitt passed away.  Jery was one of the godfathers of the NY Stunt community and got most of the industry started.  I never got to work directly for Jery which makes me sad.  There were few times I got to spend time with him while hustling his sets and he was always happy to see me and chat with me.  He was an icon and he will be missed dearly.  Jake and Alex drop in to watch Jakes team (The Colts) play my team (The Packers) in an epic matchup.  After an early lead we blew it, game went to overtime and The Packers lost.  Always fun to watch a game with a good friend rooting for our teams.  Next time buddy!!  Thanksgiving I spent chilling at my apartment, I didn't do the typical "Thanksgiving Meal'' but I made due by making a turkey chili in the crock pot!  It was delicious!  And plenty of leftovers!!!  I ate and watched football, as ya do, and that was about it haha.

Dec- Happy Birthday to Jess!!  (I miss you so much and I lit your candle to celebrate.  I love you, I miss you)  This month begins the same as last month as I have to go in and COVID test for Law and Order: SVU.  This one was exciting but also hit me right in the "feels" as this has been Jery's show since the very beginning and I have never worked on it.  Only a week or so removed from his passing and I'm on his show doubling.  It was pretty surreal and all I could think about all day was Jery and his mantra of "remember to HAVE FUN!"  I had the most fun running down a street trying to flee from police only to be tackled from behind into a cold mud puddle.  Thanks to Dejay for being so awesome and CRUSHING it!!!  I can't imagine the pressure of covering for such a legend.  Also to Stefanie for hitting me with gusto! Haha.  I sit down with my roommate and have a "talk" but basically I have reached a point in my life where I can no longer do the roommate thing anymore.  I inform her that I plan on taking over my apartment solo on Feb 1st, to which she asks for March 1st.  Apparently almost 2 months notice isn't enough for her, but at least I know the end is near.  We shall see how it goes but I will be pushing for the Feb 1st date as I have been done with the arrangement for quite some time now.  I look forward to having my huge apartment that I have been in for over 15 years all to myself, and will even have a guest room for anyone who wants to come visit.  I attended the Manny Siverio Virtual Stunt Holiday Party via Zoom.  It was my first year "at" the party and it was actually very fun to see everyone and hear from my peers.  More brewery Mon-Fri and weekends of football.  Next up Chelsea and I both go and hang with Paige for some chilling and chatting holiday style, with virgin hot toddies, hot chocolate and lamb burgers, YUM!  Finally this year I test negative for COVID, hop on a plane and spend a very quarantined Christmas with my Mom and Blaine.  Pretty much didn't leave the house the entire visit.  It was wonderful to be home again for the holidays, even in this weird time.  It was short, but sweet.  Back I go to NYC to ring in the New Year by my lonesome!  So long 2020!
As always feel free to include anything I may have forgotten to include, no matter how small.  I value all the time with all of you and hope there is much more to come when we can actually do things together again.  Until we meet again, hopefully in person!
