2009 Year in Review!!
January 2009- I took It easy on the Party scene to kick off 2009 this year as I had to work the next day. Yet again I was on the Rooftop for my good Buddy Shawn Fleming's New Years Party, which is always a good time. The Rest of this Month was consumed by A New Original Play that I helped Conceive, entitled "Theatre is Dead and So Are You" I played one of the lead characters named Chester Darling and was reviewed by nytheatre.com's Martin Denton in which he wrote "Noah Schultz almost steals the show near its end in the Romeo & Juliet scene" The full review can be found here if you missed it http://www.nytheatre.com/
February 2009- This Month I made a trek back into the Cold weather of Milton Wisconsin to attend the Marriage of Jason Edwardson and Sarah Szerlong and I had a wonderful time. This was a long time coming and I was so happy I got to witness these 2 wonderful people finally take care of business. Plus at the reception dinner I set a new record for getting scolded at 5 minutes in haha. I was also hired for a show this month entitled "The Adventures of ZigZag" in which I was to play the Villain Kinky K-Mark
March 2009- I joined forces once again with the Stolen Chair Theatre Company for a 1 Night Only Performance in a Puppet Inspired Piece to the music of Tom Waits, it was good times. I continue to rehearse for "The Adventures of ZigZag" up until the director goes on Vacation and I never hear from them again. When I asked later about what the deal was, they put the project on hold indefinitely due to financial issues, Sooo Yeah.
April 2009- I got to go to another wedding this time to my good friends Sean Murphy and Sandy Ollis, it was simply spectacular!!!! (even though they got married on my birthday) Speaking of Birthdays I celebrated my 27th at The Schnitzelhaus in Brooklyn and had many of my NYC friends join me for an epic dinner filled with all you can drink beer and me drinking from a Boot, which I got to keep and is now one of my prized possessions as everyone signed it :) And we wont talk about the incident that happened post party involving Richard, Bryam, Aspasia, Christian, Popo and myself haha. I got cast in a show entitled "The Eye of the Needle." I also got cast in a comedy TV Pilot. I marched in the Greek Independence Day Parade down 5th Ave in NYC dressed in my character Costume from the historic Music Video I did with the band Phoenix Reign. May 2009- I got cast in yet another show this month called "Escape from the Women's Wacko Ward" This was a "wizard of Oz" knockoff and was done completely in drag, I was cast in double roles as Auntie Phlegm and Nurse Hazel. I continued to rehearse this month for "Eye of the Needle"
June 2009- I film my Comedy TV Pilot in a one day shoot, in which I play a nosey guy who is in love with my sexy asian neighbor :) I performed a Public read through of "The Eye of the Needle" at the Atlantic Theater. I think it was this month I went to see a Yankee game at the NEW Yankee Stadium. At the end of the month I flew home for a Summer vacation back home in Wisconsin to attend Summerfest in which I saw Dropkick Murphy's and got my nipple pierced.
July 2009- I stay in Wisconsin through the 4th of July, went to Summerfest a second time to see Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire. I also attended a Cubs Brewers Game at historic Wrigley Field and was joined at the game by my good friend Amanda Czernecki, who is freaking Awesome, Carl and my Brother. When I got back to NYC I performed in Drag in "Escape From the Womens Wacko Ward" which I didnt tell anyone there are clips of me performing in the show on YouTube so if you are reading this all the way through you get this little treat. August 2009- This Month I get hired to do my very FIRST professional Stunt!! I performed a leap from a car traveling at 25mph onto the street for a music video which if you missed it can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/
September 2009- I fly down to Miami to start this month off and meet up with an old friend of mine from back in the day Best Buy World, Mr Andy Gonzalez! This rockstar picked me up from the airport so in return he was my guest for a Florida Marlins Atlanta Braves game in Landshark Stadium. We practically sat on the filed for the game and had a great time! Next I met up with my family and we boarded a Cruise Ship where I got to go to the Bahamas!! A Great time was had by all! This month I finally went through a Job change as I officially took a position of Project Team Lead for District 58! Now this Job is still at the same pay scale as I was but now instead of working in a Best Buy Store I work for the District and oversee special projects and new stores for the NYC Area.
October 2008- I get thrown a going away party by all my wonderful friends at Chelsea in which I was Roasted on stage in a comedy show led by Roastmaster Ray!! This meant so much to me!! I go on my first New Store Build and am sent to New Jersey for 2 weeks, put up in a hotel and paid to help out, New Job Officially Rocks!! I go to the Mike and Rob Halloween Party as I do every year as Carl and I pay tribute to Patrick Swayze and Chris Farely dressed as their famous Chippendale sketch from SNL.
November 2009- I go on retreat with the Stolen Chair Theater Company for a weekend in Connecticut and start working on our next original piece entitled "Quantum Poetics." I officially help build and grand open the First Ever 24 Hour Best Buy in Union Square!! I have a very small Thanksgiving with Carl and Lydia and continue to rock the new job! I got to hang out with Mike, Samir, and Leslie on Black Friday for my first Black Friday in a different store and we had fun!!
December 2009- I get cast in a lead role for a show called "Press 93 for Kosher Jewish Girls in Krakow" and have 85 pages of text to learn in a month. I fly home to spend Christmas with my family!!
